Saqr Ghobash: Strong Commitment to Continue the Blessed Federal Journey

His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, the Chairman of the Federal National Council, emphasized that “Union Day,” celebrated on July 18 each year, serves as a momentous occasion for the nation where we reflect on the vision and efforts of the founding fathers, particularly the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, along with his fellow rulers of the Emirates, who signed the “Union Document” and the state’s constitution, leading to the establishment of the United Arab Emirates.

He stated that “Union Day” represents the highest ideals of national unity and the deep-rooted solidarity between the wise leadership and the people of the Emirates, symbolizing a steadfast commitment to continue the blessed federal journey towards a more prosperous and progressive future under wise leadership.

Moreover, he remarked, “The celebration of Union Day is a moment of loyalty and pride in the monumental achievements made by the founders, which laid the groundwork for a strong and stable nation. It is due to their visionary efforts that we enjoy the security, prosperity, and stability that we have today.”

He highlighted that this national occasion coincides with the UAE’s ongoing pioneering developmental journey, achieving remarkable accomplishments across various sectors in line with its ambitious strategic vision to become one of the best countries globally in multiple areas, relying on investment in the Emirati people, their empowerment, and enhancing their security and well-being.

On this occasion, His Excellency Saqr Ghobash extended his warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may Allah protect him, to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, may Allah safeguard him, to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and to the esteemed members of the Supreme Council of Rulers of the Emirates, commending the country’s pioneering achievements that have solidified its leading position both regionally and internationally.
