The Ministry of Education has announced the launch of the “Summer Abroad” program for 2025, aimed at sending 270 high-achieving students from the 10th and 11th grades of public schools to renowned universities, research institutes, and scientific organizations globally during July and August of this year.
This initiative aligns with the ministry’s strategic vision to cultivate a knowledgeable and skilled national generation.
The program is designed to provide students with high-quality global training and educational experiences, thereby broadening their horizons and enhancing their personal and academic skills. It aims to deepen their understanding of innovative practices across various fields, including artificial intelligence, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Minister Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri emphasized that the “Summer Abroad” program provides students with an opportunity to acquire new skills by training at some of the world’s leading universities and scientific institutions, which contributes to refining their academic abilities and cultivating their personal development.
She added that this experience exposes them to diverse educational environments, broadening their cultural and scientific awareness, thereby supporting their future aspirations.
The “Summer Abroad” program includes field visits and specialized training courses in several leading countries in the fields of education and innovation, including Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Malaysia.
A total of 29 educational supervisors will accompany the students throughout the program, providing academic guidance and necessary educational support.
This year’s program also features the participation of a group of students with special needs in both Japan and South Korea.
The implementation of this program reflects a comprehensive vision adopted by the ministry to enhance students’ educational experiences by sending them to prestigious academic institutions, which will help them build a knowledge network and equip them with skills to excel and compete in education and innovation for the long term.
