The “Mizayna Ratb Al-Zamali” competition at the Liwa Date Festival saw intense competition among farmers, featuring participation from 37 farms across the nation, as part of the festival’s 21st edition.
The winners were announced by Obaid Al-Mazrouei, the Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector, and Mohammed Jumaa Al-Mansoori, the Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, in the presence of various officials, representatives from participating entities, and festival visitors.
This year marked the inaugural inclusion of the “Mizayna Ratb Al-Zamali” contest in the festival’s line-up, aimed at broadening participation to a larger group of farmers. A total prize pool of 367,000 dirhams has been allocated, distributed among 15 winners.
