The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has announced that Dubai chocolate, in its various forms available in local markets, is free from salmonella contamination. The ministry emphasizes its ongoing efforts to ensure food safety and protect consumer health through continuous coordination with relevant authorities.
The ministry, in collaboration with local regulatory bodies, confirmed that the UAE markets are devoid of the Spread Pistachio CaCao Cream With Kadayef product from the Emek brand, which has been marketed as chocolate inspired by the flavors of Dubai.
It was clarified that the contaminated product is only found in the American markets, according to a statement from the Food and Drug Administration.
The ministry highlighted that the salmonella warning pertains to a product marketed as part of “Dubai Chocolate,” specifying that this item is manufactured outside the UAE and does not adhere to the local brand but is merely inspired by the familiar flavors of “Dubai Chocolate.”
Dubai Chocolate is commonly recognized as products from FIX Dessert Chocolatier, a brand that originated in Dubai and is renowned for offering luxurious chocolate with distinctive flavors inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine. The UAE product adheres to the highest safety and quality standards.
