The Dubai Police General Headquarters has handed over two internationally wanted individuals to French authorities due to their involvement in organized international crimes related to “attempted fraud and trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances.” Their arrest followed the issuance of international red notices and their inclusion on Interpol’s wanted list, as well as the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, Europol.
The Dubai Police emphasized that the extradition of these individuals is part of their ongoing efforts to combat crime under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Public Prosecution in Dubai. They have implemented all necessary legal and judicial procedures following the receipt of international arrest warrants directed to the International Cooperation Department of the UAE’s Ministry of Justice, which functions as the central authority for receiving requests for international cooperation.
With this recent handover, the total number of individuals extradited by Dubai Police to France in 2025 has reached 10. These individuals have been implicated in various serious crimes, including “premeditated murder, organized criminal leadership, money laundering, armed robbery, and drug trafficking.”
The Dubai Police stated that this extradition aligns with their commitment to fostering cooperation and coordination with law enforcement agencies globally to combat transnational organized crime in all its forms. This initiative aims to build a robust global security framework based on effective crime fighting and sharing successful security practices, thereby enhancing safety and security within communities.
In conclusion, the Dubai Police confirmed that their research and investigation teams, along with specialized units within the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Evidence, were able to apprehend the wanted individuals immediately upon receiving the red notices. This was achieved through field efforts and the utilization of advanced technologies at their Data Analysis Center to monitor, identify, and locate these suspects, leading to their delivery to justice.
