The United Arab Emirates has asserted that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached an unprecedented and critical stage, announcing an immediate resumption of air drop operations.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed this in a statement yesterday on social media platform X: “The humanitarian conditions in Gaza have escalated to an unprecedented critical level. The UAE continues to lead international efforts aimed at delivering life-saving assistance to our Palestinian brothers.”
He further emphasized, “We will continue to deliver relief aid to those in desperate need, via land, air, and sea.” He reiterated the UAE’s unwavering commitment to alleviating suffering and providing support.
In addition, the UAE’s relief efforts in Gaza are part of the “Generous Knight 3” campaign, aimed at offering humanitarian assistance to the residents of Gaza, aiding displaced families, and ensuring they have basic necessities amid the challenging circumstances caused by the ongoing conflict, blockade, and deteriorating economic conditions.
As part of the “Generous Knight 3” initiative, support has been extended to bakeries in the central governorate and Al Nuseirat camp through the “Bread of Goodness” initiative. The operation has also continued to support food kitchens, providing thousands of meals to displaced individuals in northern Gaza.
Over the past week, as part of this initiative, the UAE has intensified efforts to repair water wells in Gaza, ensuring access to clean water amidst harsh humanitarian conditions.
These initiatives are ongoing efforts by the UAE to lessen the severity of the humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinian families, aiming to alleviate their suffering, especially in areas severely lacking in water, medicine, and essential food supplies.
