The White House strongly criticized the creators of “South Park” on Thursday following the airing of an episode that openly mocked Donald Trump. The episode featured an AI-generated version of the U.S. President portrayed crawling in the desert.
The White House expressed its dissatisfaction with the episode.
Press Secretary Taylor Rogers stated, “This show has lacked significance for over two decades and continues to struggle with unimaginative concepts in a desperate bid for attention.”
She added, “President Trump has accomplished more in six months than any other president in the nation’s history, and a low-quality program will not undermine his success.”
This marks the 27th season of the satirical animated series, which tackles pressing American issues, and it remains one of the most successful television programs worldwide.
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone recently secured a $1.5 billion deal with Paramount, allowing the American production studio to stream the series on its platform for the next five years, according to the Los Angeles Times.
