High Engagement with Summer Camp Activities for Friends of the Police

The Abu Dhabi Police recently concluded the 2025 Summer Camp for Friends of the Police, hosted at the Elite Private School in the Mohammed bin Zayed City. This initiative welcomed school students and children of Abu Dhabi Police employees, aged between 6 and 14 years, as part of its strategy to enhance community happiness and nurture the skills of youth, making productive use of their time.

Major Sultan Abdullah Bawezeer, Deputy Director of the Protocol and Public Relations Department, praised the significant engagement from both the students and their families. He noted that the summer camp reflects Abu Dhabi Police’s vision to enhance youth skills through a comprehensive program that combines entertainment and education, fostering a sense of national belonging and self-discipline among participants. He emphasized that the variety of activities contributes to developing a well-rounded child’s personality, providing them opportunities to discover their talents in a safe and purposeful environment, ultimately preparing a conscious generation aware of its responsibilities toward the nation.

The three-week camp featured a range of social, recreational, and educational activities tailored to student interests, including cooking, art, robotics programming, self-development workshops, kickboxing, football, swimming, and gymnastics. Additionally, interactive workshops were conducted to enhance the intellectual and creative skills of the participants.

The camp also experienced remarkable involvement from various police departments, enriching the program’s content and variety. The Traffic and Patrols Directorate introduced the “Child Patrol” program aimed at instilling traffic safety concepts and promoting traffic culture among participants. The Community Policing Department hosted interactive awareness workshops designed to strengthen community awareness and solidify the relationship between the police and the public. Furthermore, the K9 Security Inspection Department showcased field demonstrations with police dogs, displaying their skills in detecting hazardous materials and ensuring public safety.
