Jordanian King Urges Trump to Halt Gaza Conflict and Ensure Aid Flow

King Abdullah II of Jordan emphasized the urgent need to end the conflict in Gaza during a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday. He called for all efforts to be made to ensure the flow of aid to the Palestinian territories, which are experiencing a severe food shortage.

The royal court released a statement detailing that King Abdullah and President Trump discussed various current issues in the region, focusing particularly on the situations in Gaza and Syria.

The King reiterated the importance of taking every necessary measure to halt the violence in Gaza and ensure that aid reaches all areas of the enclave to alleviate the dire humanitarian conditions.

Gaza is currently facing significant shortages of food and essential supplies, with warnings from the United Nations and non-governmental organizations about the looming threat of famine.

Additionally, King Abdullah praised the initiatives by the United States and its President aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region. He affirmed Jordan’s commitment to work alongside the U.S. and other influential nations to achieve peace that secures safety and stability across the entire region.

The King also highlighted the successful collaboration between Jordan and the United States in reducing tensions in Syria, noting the importance of maintaining stability and respecting the sovereignty of Syrian territory.

The call also addressed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, as well as expanding their economic cooperation.
