OSN Group Chief Executive Officer Joe Kawkabani Resigns

OSN Group has revealed that CEO Joe Kawkabani will be stepping down from his position.

Kawkabani, who has led the company for three years, has overseen many strategic advancements within the media organization. Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Discovery made a critical minority investment in OSN Streaming, which is a subsidiary of OSN Group. Additionally, in 2024, OSN Group acquired a 55.45% stake in Anghami, integrating it with OSN+. The company has also forged lasting partnerships, including a notable exclusive agreement with HBO established in 2022.

Acknowledgment of Kawkabani’s Leadership

Sheikha Dana Naser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, chair of OSN Group, expressed gratitude to Kawkabani for his “dedicated leadership and valuable contributions.” She emphasized, “As we move ahead, we remain fully committed to providing our subscribers with the best and most distinctive media content experience in the region.”

In his own words, Kawkabani remarked, “After three remarkable years, I have chosen to pursue my next challenge. It has been an honor to lead OSN and contribute to its growth and transformation. Through strategic investments and both local and international collaborations, we have opened new avenues for OSN during a challenging yet exhilarating period for the media sector.”
