Humanitarian aid reflects the nation’s commitment to support the Palestinian people and alleviate their suffering
Yesterday, the United Arab Emirates conducted its 67th air drop of humanitarian assistance over the Gaza Strip as part of the “Birds of Good” initiative, which falls under the larger “Brave Knight 3” operation, in collaboration with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Greece.

The air drop included significant quantities of essential food supplies aimed at helping the residents of the region, with the support of various charitable organizations from the UAE. This effort continues the nation’s commitment to assist the Palestinian people during these challenging humanitarian circumstances.
Partners
The “Birds of Good” initiative is linked to the comprehensive relief efforts of “Brave Knight 3,” launched by the UAE to provide assistance by air, land, and sea, in cooperation with international and regional partners. This humanitarian coalition has successfully delivered over 3,892 tons of diverse aid, including food and essential supplies to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

Water Stations
As part of the UAE’s efforts to aid the people of Gaza, the “Brave Knight 3” team conducted a field visit last Thursday to oversee the “Lifeline” project in collaboration with the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility in Gaza. This project aims to provide sustainable water pipelines to the southern areas of Gaza as part of the UAE’s larger humanitarian initiatives to assist the Palestinian population.
Response
This project stands out as a critical response to the growing needs of displaced persons and local residents in light of the severe humanitarian deterioration caused by ongoing conflict. It is implemented through cooperation with the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility and coordination with the relevant authorities in Egypt.
The new water pipeline stretches for 7 kilometers, starting from the UAE’s desalination stations on the Egyptian side of Rafah, extending to the Al-Mawasi area in southern Gaza, which is one of the most densely populated areas of displaced individuals.
Beneficiaries
About 600,000 Palestinians, including a significant number of children, women, and the elderly, are expected to benefit from this project. It aims to provide clean and safe water supplies, alleviating the humanitarian and health burdens faced by the population, particularly amidst resource limitations, frequent water interruptions, and rising temperatures.
These efforts are part of a comprehensive plan initiated by the UAE under the “Brave Knight 3” operation, encompassing a wide range of relief, medical, and infrastructure projects for the people of Gaza. The project is supervised by Emirati teams and includes technical and field collaborations with the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility to ensure compliance with technical standards and local needs.

The technical teams involved in the project have confirmed that the pace of work is accelerating, and the execution is proceeding according to the established schedule, in preparation for the operation of the pipeline and water distribution as soon as possible.
