Sheikh Mohammed Appreciates the Role of the US and Donald Trump in Peace Agreement

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, expressed the nation’s commitment to supporting every effort towards global peace and stability, advocating for the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic avenues for the benefit of all.

He congratulated Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, on the historic peace agreement recently signed at the White House, acknowledging the significant contribution of Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, in facilitating this agreement.

In a statement via X platform, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, “I congratulate Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, on the historic peace agreement recently signed at the White House. I commend the role of the United States and President Donald Trump in achieving this agreement, and I hope it marks the beginning of fruitful relations between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples and peace in the Caucasus region. The UAE supports every step towards global peace and stability and resolves disputes through diplomatic means for the prosperity of all.”

Welcoming Remarks

The UAE welcomed the announcement from Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding the achievement of a historic peace agreement, applauding this milestone as a significant diplomatic accomplishment that exemplifies the triumph of dialogue and embodies the principles of good neighborliness and peaceful coexistence.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State, commended the wisdom of Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan in their desire to establish peace, noting that the agreement reflects both parties’ strong will and commitment to peaceful solutions and dialogue.
