New UAE Mediation Between Russia and Ukraine Successfully Releases 168 Prisoners

The United Arab Emirates has announced the successful mediation efforts between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, resulting in a recent prisoner exchange. This operation involved 84 captives from each side, totaling 168 prisoners, bringing the overall number exchanged during these mediations to 4,349.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere gratitude to both nations for their cooperation, which facilitated the success of the UAE’s mediation efforts. This reflects their appreciation for the UAE’s commitment to supporting endeavors aimed at resolving the ongoing crisis.

With this successful mediation, the total number of UAE-led initiatives during the crisis has reached 16, highlighting the strong and distinguished relations between the UAE, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine.

The Ministry reiterated its dedication to continuing its efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine and to alleviate the humanitarian impact resulting from the crisis.
