Strengthening the Bonds of Emirati Community and Protecting Resources to Enhance Quality of Life
The youth of the authority are showing a consistent and positive engagement in utilizing opportunities provided by the authority and the council to create a significant impact within the community and deepen their contributions to volunteer and community efforts.
In line with the “Year of Community” under the motto “Together”, and Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, the authority is committed to realizing the wise leadership’s vision for building a united and prosperous society, and establishing a culture of shared responsibility among all community members, particularly the youth, to continue the journey of sustainable social and economic development.
Alongside its strategy aimed at empowering youth for their leading roles in achieving sustainable development, carbon neutrality, and energy transition, the authority is dedicated to nurturing a generation that cherishes its values and identity, is committed to strengthening the bonds of the authentic Emirati community, protecting resources and the environment, and enhancing quality of life as they confidently and efficiently contribute to nation-building.
The authority takes pride in its youth, who tirelessly support its efforts to advance sustainable development in its social, economic, and environmental dimensions.
Instilling Values
Eng. Aisha Mohammed Al-Rumaithi, Chair of the Authority’s Youth Council, stated: “With support from senior management, we organize events aimed at inspiring youth, motivating them, and equipping them to create a lasting positive community impact while instilling values of belonging, giving, and community cohesion.”
“Our efforts have fostered an entrepreneurial spirit among the youth of the authority, expanding their participation in community service, making them the foundation of comprehensive and sustainable development.”
The youth’s enthusiasm for voluntary and community initiatives reflects their deep awareness and national sense, along with their ability to play a constructive role and give back to the community and nation.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Youth Council participated in the Ramadan initiative “Your Iftar is Ours, Your Safety is Our Priority,” organized by the Dubai Youth Council in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, along with 10 other government entities, distributing 4,620 Iftar meals to drivers in Dubai.
The initiative aimed to enhance traffic safety concepts and strengthen the culture of giving and community responsibility during the holy month.
The Youth Council also celebrated the winners of the third edition of the “Our Youth is Our Pride” initiative launched by the council to highlight young employees and honor young pioneers in volunteer, community, and humanitarian work.
“Eid Joy” Initiative
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Youth Council participated in the “Eid Joy” initiative launched by the Balance Council in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, aiming to support needy families and bring joy to their hearts during Eid al-Fitr.
The authority’s youth prepared boxes containing Eid essentials to be distributed to underprivileged families across the UAE.
Visit to Al Jalila Children’s Hospital
The Youth Council visited young patients at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital to bring joy to the children and uplift their spirits.
The youth volunteers presented gifts to the children and engaged them in interactive experiences to strengthen community connections and shared bonds.
Creative Workshops
The Youth Council, in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, organized several artistic workshops during the 13th edition of the Sikka Art and Design Festival held in the historic Al Shindagha district.
A total of 38 young men and women from the authority participated in the workshops to enhance their skills in arts inspired by authentic Emirati heritage, including sculpture, Islamic geometric patterns, and wooden carvings on Emirati doors, abstract watercolor painting of coral reefs, and sweet making.
The council also organized a creative workshop in collaboration with the “Studio Yadawi” for pottery on World Youth Skills Day 2025.
This workshop was part of the council’s efforts to equip youth with new skills, encouraging them to explore new creative and artistic experiences while enhancing their creativity and fostering teamwork and professional loyalty.
Additionally, the council conducted an interactive workshop in cooperation with Microsoft to broaden young employees’ knowledge about generative artificial intelligence.
The Youth Council organized an interactive trip to Mushrif Park to promote the concept of “sustainable living” and encourage youth to adopt a healthy and athletic lifestyle.
As part of the “Summer Camp 2025” events organized by “Furjan Dubai” and the “Ameen Service,” the council held a series of awareness workshops in various schools in Dubai to raise students’ awareness about ways to improve electricity and water consumption efficiency.
