Dubai Police Educates Sports Fans on Stadium Responsibilities

The Dubai Police General Command organized an awareness event for residents of the Abu Hail area as part of the “Your Commitment, Your Happiness” initiative, in collaboration with the Positive Spirit Council. The event aimed to raise awareness about the responsibilities of sports audiences in stadiums as outlined in Federal Law No. 8 of 2014 regarding the security of facilities and sports events.

The event took place at Abu Hail Park and was attended by Fatima Bouhagir, Head of the Positive Spirit Council, Lieutenant Nabat Sultan Al-Ketbi, who oversees the initiative, along with several personnel from Dubai Police.

Lieutenant Al-Ketbi emphasized that the “Your Commitment, Your Happiness” initiative aims to enhance communication with sports fans and unify efforts to bring joy to audiences by promoting a culture of positive encouragement that reflects the civilized image of the country in our sports arenas.

He stated, “The initiative works to spread awareness of the commitments expected from sports audiences as mandated by federal law regarding the security of facilities and events.”

Moreover, Lieutenant Al-Ketbi pointed out that the provisions of the federal law concerning the security of facilities and sports events ensure the implementation of safety measures for athletes and various venues nationwide. This is in line with advanced security standards and protocols that adhere to international benchmarks for managing security aspects at festivals and sports events at the highest levels.
