As governments and private enterprises in the Gulf region intensify efforts towards workforce development, digital coaching is emerging as a fundamental aspect of regional talent strategies. This development was a key theme at SPARK Dubai 2025, where WeAce presented its new whitepaper, Powering Talent and Growth in the GCC.
The exclusive gathering took place at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai, bringing together senior HR professionals, policymakers, and thought leaders to discuss the evolution of leadership development amid technological advancements and shifting expectations around inclusion, nationalization, and ongoing learning. Hosted by WeAce in collaboration with SDA Bocconi School of Management, the evening highlighted the transition of coaching from a specialized executive tool to a scalable, AI-integrated solution.
The WeAce whitepaper emphasized how platforms are now providing multilingual, culturally relevant modules accompanied by real-time analytics, enhancing the accessibility and measurability of leadership development. “The future of leadership will be neuro-personalized, life-centered, and fundamentally human – even when influenced by AI,” commented Anuranjita Kumar, CEO & Co-founder of WeAce. “Coaching should extend beyond merely managing performance to promote purpose, wellbeing, and sustainable growth.”
Among the key trends noted in the whitepaper is the swift rise of AI-driven coaching within the UAE and beyond. Research forecasts that by 2030, 75% of Fortune 500 companies operating in Dubai will incorporate AI-powered leadership tools. The digital coaching market in the UAE, valued at $44.6 million in 2023, is predicted to soar to $189.3 million by 2034, expanding at an annual growth rate of 14.1%.
Importantly, coaching evaluations are becoming more precise. Global benchmarks referenced in the report indicate that coaching can yield a return on investment of up to 788%, largely due to enhancements in employee retention and productivity. Furthermore, it is projected that by 2030, 60% of leadership programs in the UAE will likely integrate ESG-related content, highlighting coaching’s significant role in nurturing socially responsible leadership.
Digital coaching is also crucial in furthering nationalization initiatives like Emiratisation, helping organizations develop agile, future-ready leaders within hybrid work settings. “In a region as dynamic as the Middle East, the fusion of talent, technology, and trust will establish competitive advantage,” stated Alessandro Giuliani, Managing Director at SDA Bocconi Asia Center. “As leaders, our responsibility is to ensure that people, not just systems, are central to transformation.”
“The Middle East is not merely adjusting to change – it is actively shaping it,” added Nader Haffar, former chairman and CEO of KPMG Lower Gulf. “Our trajectory will be defined by how boldly we invest in talent, how judiciously we leverage technology, and how profoundly we foster trust within business and society.”
WeAce, now functioning across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, is at the forefront of this transformation.
