Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company (IHC) has reported an impressive 31.1% growth in revenue for the first half of 2025, reaching Dhs54.7 billion, while net profit surged to Dhs10.8 billion. This upward trend is attributed to robust portfolio performance, strategic investments, and a particularly strong second quarter.
The second quarter itself was one of the group’s finest, with a year-on-year revenue increase of 22.5% to Dhs27.5 billion and net profit rising by 55.3% to Dhs6.7 billion.
Syed Basar Shueb, CEO of IHC, stated, “The results of H1 2025 highlight the ongoing strength of IHC’s diversified approach and the strategic execution of our investment plans. By achieving remarkable portfolio outcomes and amplifying operational efficiency, we are creating value across various sectors and enhancing our impact in both regional and international markets.”
Significant contributors to revenue and margin growth included sectors such as real estate, marine, dredging, hospitality, leisure, and financial services.
The real estate and construction sector generated Dhs22.6 billion in revenue, reflecting a 47.8% year-on-year increase and representing over 41% of the group’s overall revenue. Marine and dredging achieved Dhs14.1 billion in revenue, marking a 10.8% increase, while the hospitality and leisure sector experienced a remarkable 72% rise, reaching Dhs4.9 billion. Financial services and energy sectors also reported noteworthy growth, with increases of 21.4% and 161.3%, respectively.
Earnings per share were reported at Dhs2.49, with a return on equity of 10.8%. Total assets rose to Dhs436.9 billion, an 8.7% increase from the end of 2024.
As part of its strategic initiatives, IHC launched Gridora, a national infrastructure platform created in partnership with ADQ and Modon, as well as RIQ, a global reinsurance platform established alongside BlackRock and Lunate in the Abu Dhabi Global Market.
The group also partnered with ADQ and First Abu Dhabi Bank on a stablecoin project backed by the UAE dirham and led its subsidiaries to the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos.
Looking forward, IHC anticipates capitalizing on opportunities in emerging markets, supported by its expanding international presence, long-term capital strategy, and operational durability.
