Administrative and Educational Staff to Begin Work Tomorrow, August 18

Starting tomorrow, August 18, the administrative and educational staff in both public and private schools following the ministerial curriculum will officially resume their duties. This return comes approximately a week ahead of the students’ first day back on August 25, marking the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year.

According to the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 year, there will be a total of 178 school days, divided into 14 weeks for the first term, 9 weeks for the second term, and 13 weeks for the third term.

The specialized training for administrative and educational staff will commence tomorrow and will run until August 22. A second round of specialized training for staff is scheduled for October 13-15, while a third session will be held from December 8-12, 2025.

The Ministry of Education announced in July a new structure for the school calendar that will be implemented in both public and private schools across the country starting from the 2025/2026 academic year. This includes significant adjustments to the scheduling of breaks at the end of terms to ensure uniformity between public and private institutions.
