Egypt has reaffirmed its strong opposition to any attempts by Israel to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or the West Bank. The country emphasized that such plans represent a historical injustice lacking any moral or legal justification, and they would inevitably lead to the outright elimination of the Palestinian cause.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement today, expressing deep concern over reports suggesting that Israel is in discussions with various countries to accept displaced Palestinians. Egypt’s communications with those countries have reiterated its rejection of these condemned plans.
Egypt has made it clear that it will not participate in any resettlement initiatives, whether enforced or voluntary, stemming from policies of settlement expansion, land confiscation, and starvation. It has called on all peace-loving nations to refrain from engaging in this act, which contradicts the principles of international humanitarian law. Such actions are considered a war crime, ethnic cleansing, and a blatant violation of the four Geneva Conventions.
Cairo also warned about the historical and legal responsibilities that any nation participating in these plans would bear, along with the severe repercussions at both regional and international levels.
