The Head of State Arrives at the Presidential Palace with the Angolan President Among His Welcomers

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, arrived today at the presidential palace in Luanda, where he was welcomed by President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço of Angola as part of his state visit to the country.

Upon arrival, an official reception ceremony was held, featuring a 21-gun salute in honor of His Highness. Following this, both leaders proceeded to the VIP platform, where the national anthems of the UAE and Angola were played, and a contingent of honor guards stood in salute to welcome the visiting leader.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan greeted senior officials from Angola, while President Lourenço extended his hand to members of the UAE delegation accompanying His Highness.

The delegation includes notable figures such as His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President; His Excellency Ali bin Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention; His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports; His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmad Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism; His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture; His Excellency Mohammed bin Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment; His Excellency Dr. Amina bint Abdullah Al-Dhahak Al-Shamsi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; and several high-ranking officials, including Khalid Mohammed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE, and Hamid Obaid Al Shamsi, President of the UAE’s Accountability Authority. The delegation also included Salem Ali Khamees Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Angola, along with other senior officials.
