Mohammed Al-Shahi: Citizens Opted for Ready Homes Instead of Land Grants
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment has announced that the waiting lists for obtaining loans for ready homes in the “Al Khawaneej Housing Complex” have reached zero. This milestone reflects significant progress in the housing system of Dubai, with reports indicating that clients can receive their ready homes within a maximum of just seven business days.
Mohammed Al-Shahi, the Acting Executive Director of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, stated that applications for loans for ready homes are accessible through the “Emarati Platform” and the “Dubai Now” application. These platforms allow users to easily select the type of housing that suits their needs and determine the geographical location with flexibility.
Al-Shahi elaborated that the Al Khawaneej Housing Complex is the largest project undertaken by the establishment, comprising 1,050 housing units completed in a record timeframe of just two years. The project adheres to the highest construction standards and quality specifications, aligning with Dubai’s commitment to adopting sustainable systems and utilizing environmentally-friendly building materials, thus serving as a comprehensive model for modern sustainable housing.
He noted that the project includes a diverse range of housing units designed to meet the needs of Emirati families, featuring townhouses, standalone villas, and duplex villas. Additional amenities encompass a mosque, a commercial center, a children’s nursery, bike paths, walking trails, and green gardens, creating an ideal environment for family-oriented living.
Al-Shahi mentioned that 70% of the housing units in the project have already been allocated, with many citizens opting to exchange their previously granted land for ready homes in the complex due to the high level of readiness, quality, and comprehensive services offered. He emphasized that this trend helps preserve the land stock in line with the Dubai Urban Plan 2040.
Furthermore, Al-Shahi confirmed that the establishment provides a two-year warranty on all homes, along with continuous maintenance services available around the clock to ensure residents’ comfort and the sustainability of amenities. He highlighted that the prices of housing units offered by the establishment are competitive compared to the local market.
Beneficiaries can select housing that meets their needs and financial capabilities, within a framework of transparency and flexibility that the establishment is committed to providing, supporting residential and social stability in Dubai.
