22 Million Square Meters of Garden Areas in Dubai

Dubai Municipality Expands Green Spaces

Dubai Municipality has announced that the total area of parks in the emirate amounts to 22 million square meters. Among these, five major parks stand out: Mushrif National Park, Zabeel Park, Safa Park, Al Qusais Park, and Al Mamzar Park. Additionally, there are over 217 residential parks spread across various neighborhoods in Dubai, with plans to open three new parks in residential areas soon.

The municipality is dedicated to enhancing tourism and recreational activities in the emirate, aiming to provide an optimal environment and aesthetically pleasing facilities while increasing green spaces in accordance with global standards. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s Urban Plan 2040, which focuses on expanding parks and open areas, intending to create a comprehensive roadmap for sustainable urban development.

The plan aims to improve the quality of life for residents in Dubai over the next two decades, targeting goals such as enhancing the quality and extent of green spaces and public gardens. One of the ambitious targets includes a 105% increase in public green and recreational areas.

Parks will be strategically located to cater to as many residents as possible and will feature a network of Green Corridors that connect service areas, residential neighborhoods, and workplaces, coordinated with developers and relevant government entities.

Dubai Municipality aspires to provide a unique and enriching experience for visitors to its public parks, ensuring that the facilities meet the highest global quality standards. This is part of a broader strategy to boost tourism in areas that attract visitors.

The parks in Dubai serve as a popular destination for families, encouraging outdoor activities and strengthening social and family bonds. The municipality’s commitment to tree planting and expanding green areas reflects the leadership’s vision to enhance the urban face of the emirate, offering recreational and educational spaces for both residents and tourists.

Innovative and diverse designs characterize Dubai’s parks, contributing positively to the aesthetic and urban development of the area. Increasing these green spaces also enhances the quality of life.

Dubai’s parks not only present a beautiful image of the emirate but also serve as economic, tourist, and community assets, making the city a more balanced place where urban life intersects with nature, thus appealing for living, investment, and tourism.

Investing in parks is a long-term commitment to human happiness and quality of life, embodying Dubai’s vision of being a future city that emphasizes the well-being of its inhabitants and the environment amidst its pursuit of excellence.

The design of Dubai’s parks is tailored to meet the needs of visitors, with convenient locations connected by a distinguished road network and diverse public transport options. Ample free parking is also available to facilitate access, encouraging frequent visits to these green spaces.

Moreover, Dubai’s parks feature special arrangements to assist people with disabilities, ensuring they can enjoy pleasant moments with family and friends. This reflects the significant attention given by Dubai’s government to this important segment of the community, prioritizing their comfort in public spaces at all times.
