The Dubai Customs has successfully concluded its “Dubai Customs Summer Camp 2025,” one of the specialized initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills of youth and raising awareness among the younger generation within an interactive and safe customs educational environment.
The camp was organized in line with the goals of community year and in support of national efforts to strengthen family and community ties. It targeted the children of employees and local citizens aged between 12 and 15 years. Over the course of a month, the camp hosted around 60 students, who were divided into two groups, each attending for two weeks.
The camp’s agenda included various educational and awareness programs that combined theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Key activities included informative sessions on intellectual property and counterfeit goods, as well as a visit to the control and monitoring room.
Rashed Obaid Al-Shared, Executive Director of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Sector at Dubai Customs, stated, “The Dubai Customs Summer Camp aligns with our vision to enhance workplace well-being for employees.
It is also an investment in nurturing a knowledgeable and capable generation that can comprehend security and economic challenges and actively contribute to the nation’s service in the future. This summer camp is not merely a recreational activity; it represents a national investment in the potential of young people, and we have witnessed the enthusiasm and interest of the students, confirming that we are on the right path to instilling national values and strengthening a sense of belonging, ensuring that the department remains an active partner in community development.”
