A tour bus overturned after veering off a highway in western New York, leading to multiple fatalities and injuries, including children, according to reports from the New York State Police on Friday.
An unnamed officer provided statements to the media near the accident site, indicating that some passengers remained trapped in the wreckage of the bus, while rescue operations were underway.
Authorities are in contact with the bus’s operating company, which has yet to be identified.
