In contrast, voice technology is explicit; it captures intent and clinical judgment more effectively, as in the case of detailing “a syringe was used” versus a clinician stating “document 1 mg epinephrine push due to sudden hypotension”.

However, advancements in speech recognition and AI now allow for the extraction of structured, actionable insights from voice commands, even in the most intricate surgical environments.
