American Oversight and Ten Years of Control with $5,000 for Each Departing Individual
The United Arab Emirates is currently leading the 164th regular session of the Arab League Council at the permanent delegates’ level, taking place today in Cairo. This meeting is a precursor to the upcoming meeting of Arab foreign ministers scheduled for Thursday.
The discussions will focus on several critical Arab issues, particularly the developments surrounding the Palestinian cause, efforts to gain recognition for the Palestinian state, ways to halt Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, plans for reconstruction, and strategies to support the resilience of the Palestinian people politically, economically, and socially.
These Arab meetings are gaining significance amid reports that Israel is seriously contemplating the annexation of the West Bank in direct response to the recognition of a Palestinian state by several Western nations.
The Israeli government convened in a secret location to deliberate on plans for annexing the West Bank and exerting control over Gaza, including the potential displacement of its residents.
A recent report by the Washington Post detailed a U.S.-Israeli plan to create a “Riviera of the Middle East” on the ruins of Gaza. This initiative would impose a decade-long American oversight over the area and incentivize the migration of Palestinians, aiming to transform Gaza into a tourist resort and a hub for manufacturing and technology.
The plan encompasses the temporary relocation of all Gaza residents, which could occur through what is being described as voluntary displacement to another country or secure zones within the territory during reconstruction efforts.
A trust fund would provide landowners with a digital token in exchange for their redevelopment rights, which they could use to finance a new life elsewhere. Ultimately, they could also exchange it for an apartment in one of six to eight new smart cities, driven by artificial intelligence, to be established in Gaza.
Each Palestinian opting to leave will receive $5,000, in addition to support covering their rent for four years in a new location, along with one year’s worth of food costs.
Last Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump held a meeting in the White House to discuss the post-war scenario in Gaza, attended by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Whitehouse, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.
