The Riyadh Metro, overseen by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), has achieved a significant landmark by reaching 100 million passengers within just nine months of its official opening in December 2024.
The Blue Line, which runs along the Olaya-Batha route, has proven to be the most utilized segment, transporting 46.5 million passengers thus far. Following it is the Red Line along King Abdullah Road with 17 million riders, and the Orange Line on Al Madinah Al Munawwarah Road, which has seen 12 million passengers. The other three lines have collectively served 24.5 million users.

Since its inception, the metro has boasted an impressive on-time performance of 99.78 percent, highlighting the reliability of the service. Some of the most frequented stations include Qasr Al Hokm, KAFD, stc, and the National Museum interchange, which together accounted for over 29 percent of total passenger traffic.
The Riyadh Metro is seamlessly connected to the city’s comprehensive bus network, which features on-demand bus services and public transport parking facilities. This integration enables passengers to enjoy a smooth transition from home to their final destinations.
By improving connectivity and providing a sustainable alternative to personal vehicles, the Riyadh Metro is playing a key role in transforming Riyadh into a modern, accessible, and environmentally-friendly urban center.
