“Joint Operations”: The Arrival of the Ninth Emirati Aid Plane in Afghanistan

The Joint Operations Command has announced the arrival of a new humanitarian aid flight in Afghanistan, marking a total of nine aircraft carrying urgent relief supplies from the UAE since the onset of the crisis.

This initiative is in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and is part of the air and sea bridge established by the UAE to assist Afghanistan in coping with the aftermath of the earthquake and to support the Afghan people during these challenging times.

During a meeting at Kabul International Airport, UAE Ambassador to Afghanistan, Isa Al Zaabi, conferred with Mawlawi Sharafuddin Muslim, the Deputy Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development for Planning and Policy, and the head of the Aid Receipt and Management Committee in Afghanistan. This meeting aimed to enhance the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the UAE to aid its Afghan counterparts.

The discussions included updates on the earthquake’s impact, with the ambassador reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to stand by the Afghan people through these humanitarian challenges.

Al Zaabi emphasized that the UAE will continue to provide humanitarian and shelter assistance via both air and sea routes, highlighting plans to source aid from local markets to ensure swift delivery and meet the urgent needs of those affected.
