The Syrian foreign ministry announced on Tuesday that Damascus is in discussions with Washington to establish security agreements with Israel regarding southern Syria. This initiative is part of a roadmap that Syria is following with the support of the United States and Jordan concerning the Suwayda Governorate.
In a statement, the foreign ministry outlined that one of the key measures included in this roadmap is for the United States, in coordination with the Syrian government, to achieve security arrangements with Israel that address the legitimate security concerns of both Syria and Israel, while reaffirming Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
