Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has announced new executive regulations for tourist transportation within the emirate.
This regulation, established under Administrative Decision No. 97 of 2025 following Executive Council Resolution No. 107 of 2023, outlines comprehensive guidelines for the tourist transport sector.
Officials indicate that this initiative aims to create a cohesive tourist transportation system that strengthens Dubai’s status as a premier global tourist destination.
The regulation is designed to enhance service quality and elevate safety and comfort standards for visitors, aligning local operations with international best practices.
The RTA has committed to continuously improve services that provide effective solutions for the tourist transport sector, aligning with Dubai’s broader economic and strategic goals.
This new regulatory framework is anticipated to offer significant advantages for businesses and organizations within the industry.
RTA to Manage Tourist Transport Permit Processes
As part of this new system, the RTA will take charge of issuing and renewing permits for tourist transport services, registering and renewing tourist vehicles, and providing professional licenses for tourist transport drivers.
Applications will be handled through the RTA’s authorized service channels and centers to guarantee adherence to regulatory and oversight standards.
