Al-Azhar, “Muslim Elders,” and the Arab Parliament Condemn Israeli Aggression Against Qatar

The Azhar Al-Sharif, along with the Muslim Elders Council and the Arab Parliament, has strongly condemned today’s Israeli aggression against Qatar, deeming it a flagrant violation of international law and national sovereignty.

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, stated in a recent declaration that this serious attack on Qatar’s sovereignty reveals Israel’s intentions and schemes aimed at sowing chaos and destabilizing the region.

The Muslim Elders Council affirmed that this assault constitutes a blatant infringement on Qatar’s sovereignty, conflicting with international laws and agreements. In their statement, they expressed full solidarity with Qatar while warning of the grave implications such aggression poses for peace efforts, threatening the security and stability of the region and the world.

Moreover, Mohammed bin Ahmad Al-Yemahi, the President of the Arab Parliament, reiterated the Parliament’s unwavering support for Qatar—its leadership, government, and people. He urged the international community and the United Nations Security Council to take responsibility in halting repeated Israeli aggressions, deterring such actions, and safeguarding the sovereignty and security of nations and their citizens.
