Mohammed Al-Sharqi Emphasizes the Necessity of Advancing Educational Institutions and Providing Resources for Knowledge

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad al-Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, met with Dr. Suleiman Al-Jassim, President of Fujairah University, in his office at the emirate’s diwan. During the meeting, they discussed the university’s operational strategy, upcoming plans, and its academic programs.

His Highness emphasized the importance of enhancing educational institutions and creating a comprehensive system that provides knowledge resources and promotes scientific and developmental progress, ultimately contributing to the nation’s growth and prosperity.

He noted the continuous support and oversight from His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed al-Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, in advancing educational processes and fulfilling development needs to elevate the education sector in line with national aspirations.

Dr. Suleiman Al-Jassim expressed his gratitude to the Crown Prince for his support and engagement in the university’s initiatives, affirming the commitment to deliver high-quality educational outcomes. Dr. Ahmad Hamdan Al-Zeudi, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office, was also present at the meeting.

Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad al-Sharqi welcomed Sheikh Hamdan bin Saeed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Secretary-General of the UAE Wrestling Federation, to discuss the federation’s accomplishments and its regional and international participation, including the agenda for upcoming wrestling championships.

During the meeting, His Highness learned about Fujairah’s achievements in wrestling competitions, highlighting a record of 44 gold medals, 26 silver, and 52 bronze in local championships during 2025, with over 70 athletes representing the emirate and prominent clubs such as Fujairah, Murbeh, and Diba.

He stressed the necessity of focusing on the development of wrestling and continuing to organize regional and international tournaments that promote the sport and attract athletes to achieve commendable results in competitions.
