Designed for Autonomous Operation
In contrast to traditional electric vehicles modified for autonomous functions, Tensor has been architecturally designed from the ground up as an autonomous robotic vehicle. Every aspect of its design prioritizes AI perception, safety, and reliability. The architecture is equipped with over 100 sensors, including 37 cameras, 5 lidars, and 11 radars, ensuring complete 360° visibility. Its safety-first design is characterized by materials that allow radar passage, unobstructed lidar sightlines, and a low hood for enhanced visibility.
The sophisticated electrical and electronic framework of Tensor guarantees extensive redundancy across power, communication, and control systems, ensuring reliable performance in all scenarios.
Utilizing the Tensor Foundation Model, the Robocar is capable of learning from extensive real and simulated datasets, providing it with the ability to navigate confidently in tricky conditions such as desert sunlight, dusty environments, heavy rain, and darkness. Its dual AI framework emulates human thought processes: System 1 reacts instinctively, while System 2, a multimodal Visual Language Model, deals with infrequent and intricate edge cases.
Engineered for individual users instead of fleet operations, Tensor offers autonomy and independence. Its innovative features include automated sensor cleaning, protective measures against sand and dust, autonomous parking and charging, and ongoing self-diagnosis capabilities—even while disconnected. More than just a vehicle, Tensor operates as a self-sustaining AI entity, capable of intelligent adaptation while ensuring owner control.
Specifically designed to achieve SAE Level 4 autonomy, Tensor adheres to or surpasses FMVSS, UN/ECE, and GSO requirements and seeks to achieve IIHS Top Safety Pick+, Euro NCAP, and US NCAP 5-Star ratings. Enhanced safety is provided through redundancy in all systems—sensors, computational technology, communication, drive-by-wire mechanisms, power distribution, and thermal oversight—along with washer systems and intelligent covers that maintain visibility even in Dubai’s challenging climate.
Tensor emphasizes privacy as a fundamental principle. All data—ranging from location and preferences to records—are processed and stored directly within the vehicle, with secure access provided through either the app or onboard interface. There are physical safety measures in place, such as camera covers and microphone disconnection switches, to further shield owners from vulnerabilities associated with connected cars.

Highlighted innovations comprise: the inaugural personal Robocar, the first agentic AI vehicle, a genuine Dual Mode (capable of driving or being driven), a privacy-focused design, and a foldable steering wheel with an adjustable display.
Tensor has formed collaborations with Nvidia (for an onboard supercomputer supplying 8,000 TOPS), Sony (for 17-MP automotive cameras), VinFast (for manufacturing), leading semiconductor companies, and Oracle (for cloud solutions). Additionally, insurance partner Marsh supports the first-ever Robocar insurance policy.
Customer deliveries are projected to commence in the latter half of 2026.
