According to FlightRadar 24, the airspace around the Polish cities of Lublin and Rzeszów has been closed until at least 0400 GMT on Sunday due to “unplanned military activities related to national security.”
The Polish Armed Forces have deployed aircraft to secure their airspace following recent Russian attacks on Ukraine.
The military stated on X that, “In relation to the long-range aviation activities of the Russian Federation conducting strikes on Ukrainian territory, Polish and allied aircraft have started operating within our airspace.”
These measures were described by the military as precautionary, aimed at ensuring air safety and protecting citizens.
Ukrainian Air Force data indicated that air raid alerts have been activated nationwide since 0300 GMT.
