During an address to the United Nations General Assembly today, President Donald Trump criticized the organization, stating that “empty speeches at the UN do not end wars.”
He remarked that the UN resembles an “elevator that has stalled midway,” indicating a belief that “the era of peace has faded, replaced by a time of crises.” He emphasized that while the United Nations has immense potential, it is far from reaching its objectives.
Trump declared that “America has reclaimed its position in the world,” boasting that the nation currently possesses the most powerful military, the strongest economy, and robust international relationships. He referred to his administration as the “golden age of America.”
The American president also highlighted that “funds are flowing into America, and we are currently constructing the best and greatest economy.”
Simultaneously, he attempted to address several of the world’s most intractable conflicts, although progress has been limited thus far.
