WhatsApp Conversations Receive a Refresh: Discover the Newest Features

WhatsApp has introduced a series of new features designed to improve user experience in messaging, media sharing, and customization.

The recent updates include support for Live and Motion Photos, AI-driven customization tools, improved media options, and enhanced group search capabilities. These features are currently being rolled out to users worldwide on both iOS and Android, according to a WhatsApp blog.

Share life in motion

WhatsApp now enables users to send Live Photos on iOS and Motion Photos on Android, allowing for the sharing of images that include sound and movement.

These engaging media formats capture moments in a more vibrant and immersive way, making it easier to share memories across platforms.

Creativity boost with Meta AI

Following the previous release of Chat Themes, WhatsApp now allows users to create personalized chat themes using Meta AI. This feature provides users with more creative control over their chat environments, making conversations more reflective of personal styles.

Additionally, Meta AI can now assist in generating unique video call backgrounds, allowing users to appear in various imaginative settings easily. AI-generated backgrounds are also compatible with photos and videos taken directly during chats, providing an added layer of creativity for everyday interactions.

(Note: Meta AI features might not yet be accessible to all users.)

New stickers and improved search

To enhance user expression, WhatsApp has rolled out new sticker packs, including Fearless Bird, School Days, and Vacation. These packs feature whimsical characters designed to help users convey emotions without words.

Furthermore, finding group chats has become more straightforward. If users forget a group’s name, they can now search for a contact within that group via the Chats tab, and WhatsApp will show all shared groups they belong to.

Document scanner for Android users

Additionally, Android users can now scan, crop, save, and send documents directly within the app, a feature that was previously exclusive to iPhones. This enhancement streamlines document sharing for both professional and personal contexts.

WhatsApp continues to innovate, with even more features and updates anticipated in the near future.
