Dubai Health Authority has announced the successful completion of 15 intricate heart surgeries performed on patients of various ages and nationalities, as part of the second edition of the “Pulses” initiative for the year 2025, which focuses on surgeries for individuals suffering from congenital heart defects and chronic heart diseases.
The Al Jalila Foundation, acting as the charitable arm of Dubai Health Authority, has launched the “Pulses” initiative in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive care for those affected by congenital heart anomalies and chronic heart conditions while assisting patients who cannot afford treatment by facilitating access to advanced surgical and therapeutic procedures in Dubai’s healthcare facilities.
Dr. Amer Al Zarouni, the Executive Director of Al Jalila Foundation, stated: “Our partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation through the Pulses initiative reflects a shared vision to enhance human health. It significantly transforms the lives of patients due to our medical teams’ dedication, giving them a renewed opportunity to lead normal lives.”
Similarly, Saleh Zahir Al Mazrouei, General Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, expressed pride in launching and supporting the Pulses campaign, which embodies the core values of solidarity within our community, in collaboration with Al Jalila Foundation, the charitable arm of Dubai Health Authority.
Additionally, Dr. Obaid Mohammed Al Jassim, Consultant and Head of the Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Department at Dubai Hospital and Medical Director of the Pulses campaign, confirmed that all 15 surgeries were successfully completed despite their complexity and precision.
