The Cultural Assets Group has introduced a private, closed-end investment fund aimed at Saudi Arabia’s cultural sector, with a total value of SAR850 million (approximately $227 million).
This fund encompasses SAR200 million in backing from the Cultural Development Fund (CDF).
The announcement was made during the Cultural Investment Conference 2025, which took place in Riyadh on September 29-30.
Cultural Assets Group’s Fund Focus on Cultural Investments
The focus of the fund will be on investments in areas such as visual arts, fashion, cultural retail, digital content, experience design, interactive media and production, as well as emerging technologies.
Its objectives include fostering the sustainable growth of the kingdom’s cultural economy, assisting local businesses in gaining a foothold in international markets, and localizing intellectual property along with advanced technologies by attracting or acquiring global companies.
By adhering to international asset management standards and investment diversification strategies, the fund seeks to enhance the sector’s attractiveness to investors and boost its role in the national economy.
This initiative forms part of broader efforts to stimulate private investment and expand economic prospects within Saudi Arabia’s cultural industries.
