Mohammed bin Rashid: Congratulations to Professor Omar Yaghi on Winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Professor Omar Yaghi for being awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

The Sheikh remarked, “A year ago, we recognized Professor Omar Yaghi with the Outstanding Arab Award in the Natural Sciences category. Today, we celebrate his achievement of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Congratulations to Professor Omar, and, more importantly, to the Arab world for having such brilliant minds that we take pride in.”

He emphasized that the Arab nation is rich in talent and intellect, stating, “Our message is to restore confidence in ourselves, in our youth, and in our scholars.”

On his official account on the social media platform X, he reiterated: “A year ago, we honored Professor Omar Yaghi with the Outstanding Arab Award in Natural Sciences. Today, we celebrate his Nobel Prize in Chemistry. We congratulate Professor Omar and the Arab world for these remarkable talents that we are proud of. The Arab nation is full of geniuses and rich in intellect. Our message is to restore trust in ourselves, our youth, and our scholars. This is the core of the Outstanding Arab Award and all our humanitarian and cultural initiatives.
