Freedom Fleet Alliance: The Israeli Army Targeted Our Boats

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced on Wednesday that its vessels were “attacked” by the Israeli military, which intercepted multiple boats sailing towards Gaza.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition is an international network comprising activists supporting Palestinians and organizing civil maritime missions aimed at breaking the Israeli blockade on Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population.

According to a statement from the Israeli Foreign Ministry on X, the flotilla’s ships and their occupants are safe and have been redirected to an Israeli port, where they are expected to be deported immediately.

The statement added, “Another unsuccessful attempt to breach the legal naval blockade and enter a combat zone has ended with no results.”

This incident marks the second of its kind in recent days, following Israel’s interception of approximately 40 boats and the detention of over 450 activists on board the “Global Survival Flotilla,” which also aimed to deliver supplies to Gaza.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition stated on Instagram that the Israeli military jammed radio communications and boarded at least two of the vessels.

The coalition asserted, “The Israeli military has no legal authority in international waters. Our fleet poses no threat.”

The ships were reportedly carrying humanitarian aid valued at over $110,000, including medicines, respiratory equipment, and nutritional supplies intended for hospitals in Gaza.
