Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has enacted Law No. (5) of 2025 concerning commercial protection and oversight of economic entities, alongside Law No. (6) of 2025 which regulates discounted sales in Ras Al Khaimah. The first law comprises 26 articles.
The second law consists of 20 articles, both aimed at fostering an appealing economic environment that enhances the competitiveness of businesses operating in the emirate, supports comprehensive and sustainable economic development, and safeguards consumer rights.
These laws have been introduced to align with the economic changes taking place in the emirate, contributing to the establishment of fairness and transparency in economic dealings. They ensure that all parties adhere to sound commercial practices, which in turn reinforces trust in the local market, facilitates investment, and enhances the business environment by creating favorable conditions for the establishment and growth of economic ventures.
