On Monday, Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Keeta, the international branch of the prominent Chinese delivery firm Meituan, focused on enhancing last-mile delivery services and innovating logistics technologies in Dubai.
The partnership agreement was formalized at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 in Dubai, with Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, and Alex Wei, Logistics General Manager of Keeta Middle East, in attendance.
This collaboration represents a key element of DTC’s long-term strategy to bolster its role in transportation and delivery, especially in the rapidly growing e-commerce and on-demand sectors. The agreement is anticipated to unveil new investment opportunities, strengthen commercial alliances, and enhance revenue prospects.
DTC and Keeta Partnership: Launching with 150 Delivery Motorbikes
As part of the partnership, DTC plans to roll out an initial fleet of 150 delivery motorcycles, with intentions to expand this fleet to 500 by year’s end.
It is expected that this initiative will generate revenues exceeding Dhs10 million (approximately $2.7 million) within the first year.
The delivery motorcycle division of DTC has emerged as a significant growth factor, with revenues rising 102% year-on-year to reach Dhs18.2 million in Q2 2025. The company emphasized that this expansion aligns with its capability to adapt to evolving market demands and provide superior logistics solutions.
This partnership will also investigate innovative delivery methods, such as drones and autonomous vehicles, utilizing Keeta’s cutting-edge technology combined with DTC’s resources.
“At DTC, we are committed to enhancing our mobility and logistics solutions to align with Dubai’s vision for a connected and sustainable future,” Alfalasi stated. “The logistics and delivery market in the UAE is experiencing rapid growth, propelled by the surge in e-commerce and on-demand services.”
He further mentioned that DTC is leveraging this expansion with an extensive fleet of over 2,000 delivery motorbikes and advanced operational systems. “Collaborating with Keeta diversifies our offerings, optimizes fleet capabilities, and positions DTC at the forefront of next-generation logistics technologies, including drone and autonomous delivery solutions,” Alfalasi added.
According to Statista, online food delivery revenues in the UAE are forecasted to exceed Dhs5 billion by 2025, with an expected compound annual growth rate of over 3% through 2030, potentially reaching nearly Dhs6 billion.
Alex Wei, Logistics GM at Keeta Middle East, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are excited to team up with Dubai Taxi Company to introduce Keeta’s global delivery expertise and Meituan’s advanced logistics technologies to the UAE. This alliance merges DTC’s robust local strengths with our premier innovations to cultivate a smart, efficient, and sustainable delivery ecosystem.”
“Together, we aspire to enhance last-mile delivery capabilities and significantly contribute to the evolving landscape of mobility and logistics,” Wei concluded.
