Mansour Bin Mohammed: Under Mohammed Bin Rashid’s Vision, Dubai Becomes a Global Hub for Creative Minds, Investors, and Future Makers

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President of the National Olympic Committee, visited the “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition yesterday. This event, the largest technology and artificial intelligence showcase in the world, is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and runs until October 17. Over 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups from 180 countries are participating, reinforcing the exhibition’s role as a premier global platform that brings together leading tech innovators and investors in the realm of digital transformation.

During the visit, His Highness emphasized that Dubai has become a global hub that unites creative minds and investors shaping the future. He commended the international status GITEX Global has achieved, positioning it as a meeting point for technology pioneers around the world, while also acting as a crucial driver for accelerating digital transformation and supporting innovation ecosystems.

His Highness stated, “The success of GITEX in attracting technology leaders from all over the globe reflects the growing international confidence in Dubai as a center for innovation and digital transformation, showcasing the future vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, in establishing Dubai as a global capital for the digital economy.”

He added, “GITEX Global has become a strategic platform that solidifies Dubai’s leadership and enhances its ability to forge global partnerships that contribute to the rapid adoption of advanced technologies. This aligns with the goals of Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33) and underscores our commitment to investing in knowledge and future technologies to maintain Dubai and the UAE’s competitiveness in global technology and digital economy sectors.”

In a post on his X account, His Highness highlighted, “During my visit to the GITEX Global 2025 exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, I explored the latest innovations, projects, and specialized products showcased at this significant technology and artificial intelligence event. This occasion embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for Dubai to be a global platform that gathers creative minds, investors, and future makers.”

Over the past 45 years, GITEX has evolved into an exceptional international brand, hosting over 6,800 technology firms and 2,000 startups from 180 countries in its current edition, reflecting the pioneering spirit of Emirati enterprises.

During his tour of the “GITEX Global” exhibition, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was accompanied by H.E. Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department, and Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.

He was briefed by Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of “Dubai Digital”, on the latest technologies and solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, robotics, smart medical technology, and big data.

His Highness visited several booths of participating national and international governmental organizations and companies, including the booth of “e&”, which showcased innovative solutions and future technologies that reflect its vision of building a comprehensive digital ecosystem supporting the UAE’s journey towards a knowledge-based economy rooted in innovation. Additionally, he stopped by K2’s booth, which presented a complete system of advanced technology solutions, including self-driving taxis and delivery vehicles.

He also toured the booth of the Saudi Telecommunications Company “STC”, where he learned about initiatives and platforms that support the knowledge economy, as well as the next-generation communication applications and digital infrastructures that enable innovations in AI and the Internet of Things.

Moreover, His Highness visited the Dubai Police’s platform, which unveiled 12 new innovations based on artificial intelligence and modern technologies, including digital systems, interactive services, and advanced robotics to enhance security and facilitate community services.

He continued his tour at the Roads and Transport Authority’s booth, where he reviewed leading initiatives and projects regarding AI, IoT, and predictive solutions, including a smart vehicle network, automated inspections, and smart transport solutions for safe cities.

His Highness also visited the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) booth, which displayed its efforts in utilizing innovation and cutting-edge technologies to provide digital services and initiatives that enhance government performance and stakeholder satisfaction, alongside the authority’s digital arm, “DEWA Digital.”

He concluded his visit at the booth of the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai, where he explored smart innovations that improve response times and reduce risks, solidifying Dubai’s leadership in adopting AI and robotics for public safety.

His Highness furthermore visited the UAE Space Agency booth, which showcased key projects and future initiatives aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the national space sector, alongside an interactive experience of digital platforms and smart services supporting the digital transformation in the sector.

The tour concluded with a visit to the Ministry of Justice’s booth, which offered an innovative interactive experience titled “Future Court,” allowing visitors to familiarize themselves with an advanced model of a smart digital court designed based on future scenarios envisioned by the ministry.
