Saqr Ghabash Explores Strengthening Bilateral Relations with Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador

His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, the Chairman of the Federal National Council, welcomed Aman Saliev, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UAE, at the council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. During their meeting, the two officials discussed ways to strengthen the cooperative ties between their nations, which have been growing across various sectors including trade, politics, and the economy, particularly in renewable energy, education, and joint investments. They emphasized the importance of fostering exchanges and experiences between the Federal National Council and the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, reflecting the positive developments in their bilateral relations which benefit the shared interests of both nations.

Dr. Omar Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, the Secretary-General of the Federal National Council, and Afra Al Basti, the Assistant Secretary-General for Parliamentary Communication, were also present at the meeting. His Excellency Saqr Ghobash highlighted the deep-rooted friendship and collaborative spirit between the UAE and Kyrgyzstan since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1996, and the mutual commitment to enhance these ties across a range of areas.

He also extended his congratulations to Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the opening of the Islamic Academy in Tokmok on September 16, 2025. This initiative is part of the UAE’s developmental and humanitarian efforts aimed at promoting higher education and advancing noble Islamic values, as well as fostering principles of tolerance and cultural dialogue.

Ambassador Aman Saliev stressed the significance of boosting the existing bilateral relationships, particularly in the parliamentary realm, by enhancing parliamentary visits and meetings between friendship committees, recognizing their critical role in expanding the scope of cooperation.
