Scholars’ Lifespan: The Future of AI in the UAE through a Proactive Legislative Approach that Upholds Values and Enhances Quality of Life

During the annual meetings of the World Future Councils and Cybersecurity 2025, His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, emphasized the proactive and advanced legislative approach adopted by the UAE in regulating and developing artificial intelligence technologies. This initiative ensures their utilization for the benefit of humanity, enhances the quality of life, and boosts productivity, all while adhering to the fundamental values and principles of the nation.

His Excellency pointed out that the UAE views artificial intelligence as a crucial technology that contributes significantly to societal advancement, serving as a foundational element for achieving substantial improvements in quality of life. He affirmed that AI is not merely a tool in the UAE but an integral part of the infrastructure and daily services.

During the session, His Excellency conveyed a message from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, about the importance of learning from life, stating: “If you do not have a vision, you will become part of others’ visions; if you do not have a dream, you will not be able to realize it.” He elaborated that vision is the primary motivator guiding our steps, and a dream is the driving force that elevates reality to a higher level of progress and transformation. His Excellency affirmed that the wise leadership of the UAE and its people have demonstrated that no dream is too grand, nor any path too challenging.
