Assessment of Dubai Government Employees’ Preparedness in Artificial Intelligence

The Dubai Human Resources Department has announced the initiation of a qualitative research study in collaboration with the American University in Dubai. This research focuses on the readiness of Dubai government employees to adopt modern tools and generative artificial intelligence technologies within the workplace. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision to strengthen its leadership in digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

This study represents a significant step forward in the government’s ongoing efforts to develop its workforce and equip them with essential modern tools to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving landscape. The results aim to support the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the emirate’s vision for artificial intelligence while enhancing government performance and fostering innovative and inspiring work environments.

Asim Al-Khaja, Director of Human Resources Information at the Dubai Human Resources Department, stated, “Given the rapid advancements in technology and smart applications worldwide, adopting artificial intelligence is no longer an option but a strategic necessity and a fundamental tool for shaping government work systems and enhancing future efficiency. Through this study, we seek to achieve a deeper understanding and more accurate assessment of institutional and human readiness, with the goal of empowering government entities to develop advanced policies and programs that will accelerate digital transformation and ensure sustainable developmental impact effectively and efficiently.”
