Fatima Al Hamadi, the head of the Technology Adoption and Digital Productivity Department at the Ministry of Education, showcased an innovative project titled “Ethics of Artificial Intelligence” during the GITEX Global Week 2025. This initiative aims to integrate modern technologies to instill ethical values in students while they learn about artificial intelligence, guiding them on how to responsibly and safely utilize its tools.
Al Hamadi emphasized that the platform represents a comprehensive model of intelligent education driven by artificial intelligence and adaptive learning. The system offers educational content that adapts to the individual learning pace and abilities of each student, employing gamification techniques to make the learning experience engaging and competitive, thus fostering interaction and enhancing the understanding of ethical and behavioral concepts in an enjoyable and effective manner.
She mentioned that the project targets children aged 7 to 10, aiming to cultivate early awareness of the ethics surrounding technology use, while equipping them with critical thinking skills essential for engaging with artificial intelligence tools. The platform is designed as a safe educational environment that encourages children to make sound decisions in various virtual scenarios that resemble real-life situations through a simplified storytelling approach that captures attention and stimulates curiosity.
Additionally, the platform features short, progressively challenging educational modules, allowing students to move from basic concepts to deeper understandings incrementally. Each stage is assessed through intelligent quizzes and immediate feedback, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, making the learning experience highly personalized according to each learner’s needs.
Al Hamadi pointed out that the project extends beyond technical aspects, focusing on developing a holistic system of values through lessons and educational scenarios that highlight principles such as honesty, digital responsibility, respect for privacy, and data protection. She emphasized the platform’s commitment to preparing a conscious digital generation that understands the boundaries of artificial intelligence usage and its impact on daily life and society.
Moreover, she indicated that the visual design of the platform reflects an authentic Arab digital identity, combining bright colors and interactive elements that mimic the local environment, thereby making the experience more relatable to the students and their culture. The main educational character on the platform, represented by the “robot teacher,” serves as a positive role model for learners, interacting with them through audio and visual aids to guide them gradually toward appropriate behavior and ethical thinking.
Furthermore, the platform includes a smart dashboard for each student, enabling both teachers and parents to monitor the learner’s progress in real-time and observe their cognitive and behavioral development. This integration enhances the educational experience between home and school, promoting the concept of digital partnership in supporting educational values.
