The Zayed International Foundation for the Environment has reaffirmed its commitment to establishing effective initiatives aimed at addressing one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time: the pollution caused by harmful plastic waste.
This issue has emerged as a global concern that significantly impacts both the environment and public health, especially due to the proliferation of plastic debris and microplastics in oceans and their accumulation in living organisms.
Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Bin Fahad, President of the Zayed International Foundation for the Environment, stated that the occasion of the Arab Day for the Environment, celebrated on October 14, serves as an opportunity to raise environmental awareness and engage various segments of society in the efforts to protect our planet and mitigate the environmental challenges humanity faces.
