His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, has issued a decree to restructure the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council, appointing His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan as chairman and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as vice-chairman.
The council’s membership includes His Excellency Khaleefa Al Mubarak as the council’s Secretary-General, along with His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Al Naqi Al Mazrouei, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Buatabah Al Zaabi, His Excellency Hamid Obaid Al Shamsi, His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi, His Excellency Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bunai, His Excellency Ahmad Tameem Hisham Al Kattab, and Mr. Peng Zhao.
The Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council has been actively engaged in organizing, implementing, and enhancing policies and strategies related to AI technologies, investments, and research in Abu Dhabi since its establishment. The council aims to develop funding and investment programs in collaboration with local and global partners to align with the vision of the leadership and keep pace with the rapid growth in AI and advanced technology sectors. This initiative is in line with the Abu Dhabi Government’s Digital Strategy 2025-2027, which aspires to establish the world’s first fully AI-driven government by 2027 through strategic investments that support governmental transformation and the advancement of digital systems.
