Dubai’s Vice President and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, congratulated twin sisters Bisan and Balsan Koka from Tunisia for securing the first place in the Arabic Reading Challenge. He expressed pride in their achievement, which reflects the talent and creativity of Tunisian youth.
The Sheikh also extended his congratulations to over 160,000 supervisors involved in the event, as well as the 132,000 schools that have contributed to promoting a culture of reading and knowledge throughout the Arab world. He emphasized that this generation of readers brings hope and will help rejuvenate civilization.
The Arabic Reading Challenge is a pioneering initiative launched to establish reading as a daily habit among students while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and academic and cultural excellence.
In a message posted on social media platform X, Sheikh Mohammed stated, “Today, I attended the events of the ninth season of the Arabic Reading Challenge, which has seen participation from over 32 million students across fifty countries worldwide.”
He added, “Congratulations to the twin sisters Bisan and Balsan Koka from Tunisia for their first-place victory. Congratulations to the Tunisian people and leadership, along with the Tunisian youth for this success.”
He continued, “Congratulations to all the participating students, the more than 160,000 supervisors, and the over 132,000 schools collaborating with us to cultivate a culture of reading in the new generations of Arabs. This is a generation full of promise that will restore hope and revive civilization.”
